ACOUSTIC REFORM

This project reimagines multi-studio spaces through data-informed design strategies. By analyzing acoustic patterns and spatial dynamics, proposing a refined layout to foster optimal soundscapes. The design prioritizes functionality and aesthetics, creating a harmonious environment that elevates the creative experience within each studio.


The problem we all faced during the 10-day workshop was noise pollution. We were situated in an open-plan studio which have very poor acoustics. In this project, we utilized the use of microcontrollers and sound sensors to collect real-life data which we analyzed and used to inform the redesign by rearranging the tables and furniture to better suit each studio activity.
